Change materials, duration and your proposed price. The other assumptions are fixed in this demo.

Example: £6 in materials + £9.375 in overhead + £25 in labour = £40.375. For a 20% margin, the calculated price is £50.47.
A 20% markup would give £48.45, a margin of only 16.67%.
Quick guide and formulas
1. Add materials: container cost ÷ number of services it covers, plus disposables and waste. 2. Estimate the hours you actually sell each month, excluding empty slots. 3. Enter overhead and hourly labour value without double-counting them. 4. Compare the calculated price with what your customers are willing to pay.
Overhead per service = monthly overhead ÷ billable hours × duration ÷ 60.
Labour = hourly labour value × duration ÷ 60.
Cost C = materials + overhead + labour.
Price for margin m = C ÷ (1 − m/100).
Surplus S = proposed price − C.
Actual margin = S ÷ proposed price × 100.
Markup = (calculated price − C) ÷ C × 100.
Labour cost uses your own estimate of the required components; no statutory rate is supplied. Fewer billable hours increase the overhead allocation. This model allocates overhead by time and assumes activity consistent with the hours entered. It predicts neither bookings nor demand.
Calculations keep internal precision; displayed amounts are rounded to cents. Margin is undefined at a zero price, and markup at a zero cost. The calculated price can be zero if every cost is zero. No commercial minimum is imposed.
